The New York Microscopical Society owns a representative cross section of microscopes from the 19th and 20th century. In the future we will highlight some of the interesting models here.
In addition the society has collections of microscope slides including exquisite diatom preparations and a noteworthy selection of micro mounts of rocks and minerals.
Our library houses several hundred books on microscopy. They should delight anyone working on historical aspects of microscopy. We have continually added contemporary books so most modern methods have not been short changed.
